Dry Tea Leaves: Tightly rolled, dark green, and lustrous strands with high purity and neat sorting.
Comparison with Grade 1 & Ordinary: Unlike Grade 1 (which features slightly looser strands) and ordinary grades (which may have broader leaves and uneven sorting), the Special Grade exclusively selects finer, tighter, and more uniform tender buds with a deeper oily luster.
Liquor Color: A brilliantly clear and luminous yellow-green that sparkles in the cup.Comparison with Grade 1 & Ordinary: Brighter and more translucent than the standard yellow-green of Grade 1, and significantly clearer compared to the slightly duller or darker infusion found in ordinary grades.
Taste & Aroma: Rich, natural floral fragrance with a smooth palate and a distinct, long-lasting sweet aftertaste (Huitang). Highly resistant to multiple infusions.Comparison with Grade 1 & Ordinary: Offers a deeper scent penetration and multi-layered aroma than Grade 1. While ordinary grades fade quickly after two infusions, the Special Grade easily withstands 3+ steepings, becoming progressively smoother, sweeter, and more mellow.
Infused Leaves: Tender, soft, and uniformly vibrant yellow-green.
Comparison with Grade 1 & Ordinary: Shows superior tenderness and flexibility compared to the stiffer, coarser leaves typical of ordinary grades.
